Pier B Resort Hotel & Silos Restaurant
Developed by Sanford Hoff (F.I. Salter Real Estate) and Alex Giuliani, Pier B Resort Hotel represents the transformation of a 7.5-acre brownfield industrial pier into the most unique hospitality experience in the Midwest. Located a short distance west of the iconic Ariel Lift Bridge in the Duluth harbor, guests are treated to a unique waterfront experience where 1,000-foot ships pass a few hundred feet from shore. The Resort Hotel includes 140 rooms, a large year-round outdoor hot tub, indoor swimming pool, restaurant and bar, grand event center, outdoor decks for summer concerts, four outdoor fire pits, outdoor sports courts, and a private marina to welcome hotel and restaurant guests. Redevelopment of the site included coordination with over seven government agencies and included an award-winning public/private under water contaminated soil remediation project. The F.I. Salter real estate offices are located on a 90-foot office barge in Slip 3 on the west side of the Pier B site.
